Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd is pleased to announce the bagging of prestigious 350 kW order from M/s Shipping Corporation of India Ltd, Mumbai. This is one of the unique kind of project where solar plant will be installed at multiple locations and being connected to single evacuation point without affecting natural flora and fauna in the campus.

This project will be first major project under net-metering scheme in Mumbai with private utility.

Mr. RaghavendraMirji, AVP & Head – Power Infrastructure & Renewable Energy vertical, said that the company is presently executing more than 3 MW of roof top projects in Maharashtra and similar capacities in all other states. This 350 kWp roof top project will add another feather in the cap of Godrej & Boyce and demonstrates its execution capabilities in solar field.

Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Company Ltd (E&E Division, Power Infrastructure & Renewable Energy) is pleased to announce the commissioning of 130 KWp across Industrial belts of Haryana. These plants are located in Manesar, Dharuhera and Bawal industrial area. Plants are completely installed with customer delight and are successfully generating solar power as per expectations.

Godrej (Electricals & Electronics business, Power Infrastructure & Renewable Energy vertical) is pleased to announce successfully bagging of 265 kWp order of solar roof top plants. These plants are solar grid connected roof top installations with Net Metering (If state policy Permits).

The plants are located in very important Industrial area in Haryana, North India. Plants need to be installed in commercial and residential society of Gurgaon.

In a very short span of time, Godrej & Boyce has been able to secure several EPC contracts in the Roof top segment across India with customer delight. This plant is successfully generating solar power.India has slowly started running towards decentralized solar roof top solutions wherein the company like Godrej & Boyce Mfg.Co. There are approx. 20 states wherein net metering has been approved or in draft stage and there are certain Union Territories / States like Delhi / Chandigarh, Karnataka who are very aggressive in implementing the net metering scheme.Last year, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission had announced regulation for net metering in Delhi for promoting clean & green energy from solar energy. The regulator outlined & urged discoms to promote the net metering concept so that consumers will be benefitted from this initiative.

Net metering has multiple benefits. It gives consumers a chance to become renewable energy producer and reduce their electricity bills. The amount of power generated from solar power plant first will be utilized in captive consumption and extra power generated will be supplied to the grid. Godrej & Boyce’s Electricals & Electronics business, Power Infrastructure & Renewable Energy vertical announced successful commissioning of solar power plants, 230 kWp cumulative roof-top installations, in two cities. These plants are successfully generating power and are located in Bihar's Capital Patna and Delhi, the National Capital of India.

These projects are unique in nature as special innovative mounting structures with string inverters are being used. The solar module is of reputed MNRE Indian make, while the Inverters are being supplied by a European manufacturer.

Buxar Jail, Bihar
